Web development

Marketing sites, web applications and SaaS products built on stable, standards-based stacks and deployed on infrastructure we can run for you.

What it is

Web development at Scaledex covers everything that runs in a browser and the services behind it: marketing sites that have to load fast and rank, web applications with accounts, roles and data, and SaaS products that must keep working while they grow. We have built learning platforms, quiz and exam systems, event platforms, corporate websites and tracking tools, and we run the infrastructure they sit on.

We work with a small set of well-understood tools rather than whatever is new this month. Content sites are prerendered with a framework such as Astro and served from a CDN, so there is no server to slow down or fall over. Applications use TypeScript end to end, a relational database and the cloud provider that fits your existing accounts: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare or DigitalOcean. Infrastructure is defined in code, so a deployment is repeatable and a rollback is one command.

What you get

  • A written scope that says what is in, what is out and what finished means for each milestone.
  • A codebase in your own repository from day one, with a readme a new developer can follow.
  • Performance and accessibility budgets checked on every build: Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse and axe.
  • Search fundamentals done properly: canonical URLs, structured data, sitemaps and redirects from every old URL.
  • A pipeline that builds, tests and ships on every merge, with a staging environment in front of production.
  • Monitoring and alerts, so you hear about problems before your customers tell you.

How we work

Every project starts with discovery, even a small one. We talk to the people who own the goal, the people who will run the site afterwards and, where we can, a few of the people who will use it. The result is a scope document with milestones, assumptions and acceptance criteria. Our post on how we scope a web project has the detail.

Then we build in one- or two-week milestones. Each ends with software you can click through on a staging URL, not a slide deck. We prefer fixed-scope milestones to open-ended hourly work because it keeps both sides honest about priorities. Changes are welcome; they go into the scope as a written change note with the effect on time and cost stated up front.

We work in your tools where you have them (GitHub or GitLab, Jira or Linear, Slack) and default to GitHub and plain issue tracking where you do not. Every change is reviewed. We write automated tests where they pay for themselves: business logic, integrations and anything that has broken before.

Who it is for

  • Startups that need a first product built well enough to demonstrate, sell and iterate on.
  • Scale-ups replacing a site or an internal tool that has outgrown the way it was first built.
  • Enterprises and non-profits that want a partner in the GMT+6 time zone, with working hours that overlap Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

If you already have a team, we fill the gap: front end, back end, cloud, or all three for a defined period. If you do not, we can be the whole team until you hire one.

Process

How it runs

  1. Discovery

We map goals, users, content and existing systems, then write a scope you can sign.

  2. Design and architecture

Wireframes, a data model and a deployment plan before the first line of production code.

  3. Build in milestones

Working software every one to two weeks, reviewed against the scope on a staging URL.

  4. Launch and support

Performance checks, monitoring and a handover, with ongoing support if you want it.
